Requirements and skills

We need to fill two positions: one (1) Health and Safety Coordinator for a project located in Montreal and one (1) Health and Safety Coordinator for a project located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, starting in June 2024.

You are a professional with experience in the construction industry. You have recognized training in health and safety. You also own :

  • Certificate of health and safety coordinator on construction sites issued by the CNESST (required)
  • ASP construction card (required)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Skilful with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent knowledge of construction regulations and regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and updating of the prevention program for the site
  • Participate in work planning meetings
  • Welcoming workers to the site
  • Installation of prevention posters
  • Inspect and conduct regular site visits
  • Write inspection reports
  • Identify situations that may be a source of danger
  • Ensure workers are aware of the types of risks related to their work
  • Promote the health and safety of workers on site
  • Ensure the compliance of the work with standards and regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the Superintendent and subcontractors
  • Intervene to prevent workplace accidents
  • Coordinate the meeting of the site committee
  • Issue work permits and, if necessary, disciplinary notices
  • Receive copies of accident notifications and investigate occurrences that caused or could have caused an accident
  • Accompany the CNESST inspector during inspection visits
