Requirements and skills
We need to fill two positions: one (1) Health and Safety Coordinator for a project located in Montreal and one (1) Health and Safety Coordinator for a project located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, starting in June 2024.
You are a professional with experience in the construction industry. You have recognized training in health and safety. You also own :
- Certificate of health and safety coordinator on construction sites issued by the CNESST (required)
- ASP construction card (required)
- Valid driver’s license
- Skilful with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent knowledge of construction regulations and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and updating of the prevention program for the site
- Participate in work planning meetings
- Welcoming workers to the site
- Installation of prevention posters
- Inspect and conduct regular site visits
- Write inspection reports
- Identify situations that may be a source of danger
- Ensure workers are aware of the types of risks related to their work
- Promote the health and safety of workers on site
- Ensure the compliance of the work with standards and regulations
- Work collaboratively with the Superintendent and subcontractors
- Intervene to prevent workplace accidents
- Coordinate the meeting of the site committee
- Issue work permits and, if necessary, disciplinary notices
- Receive copies of accident notifications and investigate occurrences that caused or could have caused an accident
- Accompany the CNESST inspector during inspection visits
