Requirements and skills
You are a professional with a degree in engineering and 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of building electromechanics (fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, controls, electricity). You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of English. You are familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and the Microsoft Office suite.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying customer needs to determine the most appropriate electromechanical systems to meet them
- Integrating the requirements and constraints of the selected systems with the other relevant disciplines
- Establishing the scope of work that will make up the basis of the subcontractors’ proposals
- Analyzing the subcontractors’ proposals to validate them and determine the costs associated with implementing the systems
- Participating in the bid closing process
- Describing the systems in the client’s proposal
- Making the transition from estimation to implementation by participating in the awarding of major mandates and explaining the concepts to project managers
- Following up with project managers during the completion of mandates to ensure that initial objectives are met
- Supporting the implementation department in the coordination at the beginning of the project
- Supporting the implementation department in analyzing subcontractors’ requests
- Performing any other task related to the role
